Eyo! Just on our way home from a great weekend of shows. We headlined Lansing Michigan for the first time ever yesterday, and played a couple shows at Riot Fest in Chicago, hometown of the mother fucking pope
It’s been a fun week and we’ve gotta few fun things going on we thought you might wanna know about:
Nestor’s 5 year old daughter Mila made a shirt for us and all proceeds are going to benefit Community Music Schools of Toronto. Pre-order the thingy by Thursday!
In Nestor’s own words:
Today my daughter Mila turns 5! Happy Birthday Mila! Since drawing is one of her many superpowers, who better than to commission a reimagining of the album artwork for ‘the dream is over’?
She did an incredible job and I’m over the moon proud of her. This t-shirt is available now in the web store with proceeds going to Community Music Schools of Toronto which provides free music lessons, instruments, mentorship, and performance opportunities for over 900 children and youth ages 4-18 across Toronto every week.
As Mila put it, “this shirt is gonna help kids”.
On Friday our pals Ratboys put out a deluxe version of their latest album Singin’ to an Empty Chair, and on it is a cover we recorded of their song Know You Then. It’s a really great song, sorry for ruining it. Stream the cover below, and listen to the rest of their deluxe album wherever you do that stuff.
We’re touring this October playing our 2016 record The Dream Is Over in it’s entirety. We hadn’t really planned for these to be Dream Is Over anniversary shows, but the handful of times we’ve played this record in full recently were really fun. 9 out of 10 of the songs on that record are pretty good. These will be our last shows (probably) for a very long time. You never know what’s gonna happen, if Paramore comes calling tomorrow we’ll be there, but barring that, we have nothing booked beyond these shows and are gonna spend some time being humans who hang out with our family and friends and sleep in our own beds. So if you wanna see us, now’s the time! Our pals NOBRO and Pony are opening the shows, they are both amazing Canadian rippers and we love em. Show up early these are gonna be great shows. OK BYE!

pup the band I just fell to my knees in anguish (I hope u enjoy your very, very well-deserved time off)
Hope you enjoy the well deserved break when it comes!
But don’t be strangers to substack freaks please! Or do, I’m not the boss.
