Hey hi hey,
You never know when this thing will collapse (I’m talking about the band but also the world), so on our last tour we decided to record a bunch of the shows, just so we can have something for posterity. You know. In case.
Nestor went through and chose some of his favourite performances from different shows across Europe and the UK and mixed them. They sound really great. IMO, they’re almost “we should release a live album” quality. Which is pretty incredible considering that was not the intention or purpose of recording this stuff. Most live albums you bring in a bunch of people and fancy gear to help and this was just Nestor and no extra equipment doing it because he felt like it.
You can hear DVP (Live in London) in the video above to get a sense of what the recordings sound like. The video was shot by our friend Martin (@gingerdope).
If you’re a paid subscriber or want to become one, you’ll also be able to hear:
Doubts (Live in Cologne) !!!FOR THE FIRST TIME IN LIKE 5 YEARS!!!, Mabu (Performed poorly in Amsterdam), Morbid Stuff (Live in Madrid and it is MOSTLY PRETTY GOOD), as well as both Hunger For Death and Hallways (Live in London, also good I think).
It’s all very PUP. Mics get unplugged mid song, there are bungled lyrics, guitar whoopsies, crowds being louder than us sometimes, all that good stuff. We didn’t fix anything. All of it down below.
IF YOU WANNA SEE US LIVE WE’RE OUT HERE GOING HARD FOR THE REST OF 2025
JULY: Saint John NB + 6 sold out Toronto shows
AUGUST: Australia and (for the first time ever) New Zealand
SEPT / OCT: USA w/ Jeff Rosenstock + Ekko Astral
NOV / DEC: Canada w/ Snotty Nose Rez Kids
Take care of each other. This world is bad. Trying to get through all this together and do something positive. Playing these shows, feeling this sense of community, being around people who want to make this world a slightly better place, who care about the trans community and care about immigrant rights and decry genocide and generally operate from a place of empathy and caring for one other is keeping us going. Thank you <3
